Tracks

Tracks by Robyn Davidson
As you turn the first few pages of this book you will find a woman with amazing courage to walk across Australia's outback.
She arrived in the Alice at five a.m. with a dog, six dollars and a small suitcase full of inappropriate clothes she felt a range of different emotions like why am I do this and what will happen. For Robyn Davidson, one of these moments came at age twenty-seven in Alice Springs, a dodgy town at the front of the vast Australian desert. Robyn is wanting to walk the 1,700 miles of dry hills and them no hills landscape between Alice Springs and the Indian Ocean. With her dog and four camels, she sets off on her journey and as she walks the first few miles a love hate relationships begins with her lovable and cranky camels, Bub, Dookie, Goliath, and Zeleika.

Robyn has an amazing sense of strength and and dignity she wants to be the first woman to walk this long 1,700 miles and is determined to not give up no matter what. She is kind but inappropriate and likes to interact in the natives games.

        This is Robyn Davidson
